Every API endpoint belongs to one of two classes, and each class is metered differently. The class
is shown against each endpoint in the API documentation, and returned
on every response in the X-Quota-Class header.
Remaining allowance is returned on every response as X-Quota-Remaining and
X-RateLimit-Remaining, so you never have to guess where you stand. We email you once
when you reach 80% of an allowance. Once it is used up, requests of that class answer
429 until it resets; the other class keeps working. Your
account page shows the period's usage.
Free access is available for academic research, student projects, non-profit work, and independent security research that is not resold or embedded in a commercial product. Access is granted for one year and is renewable.
Applications are reviewed individually. Tell us who you are, what you are working on, and roughly what volume you expect.
Higher limits, custom endpoints, bulk historical extracts, and invoiced billing with purchase orders are available. Get in touch with what you need and we will put together a quote.
For Standard or Pro, choose a plan above: sign in with your email address (we send you a link, there is no password), pay through Paddle, and your API key is on your account page a moment later. Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. For academic or enterprise access, email [email protected].
See the API documentation for endpoints, response formats, and authentication. Questions about which plan fits are welcome — a short description of what you are building is usually enough for us to answer.
